SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed regarding the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The services level established for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In sassa this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and enhance use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
